Bead Soup Reveal 2013

Welcome to the third reveal of Lori Anderson's Bead Soup. So happy you could come join in on the fun.

As a reminder, I was paired with the fabulous Jessica Klaaren. She gifted me with some wonderful unusual beads. The pendant is stunning and large. It reminds me of a bunch of crayons that have been melted down and made into a flat pendant. Wonderful bright colors. The collection also included colorful stone beads, crystals, ribbon, and findings including head pins, a toggle clasp and ear wires. Here is a pic as a reminder.

I loved the dark findings she included and decided to follow that theme and use steel wire to turn the beads into a necklace. Of course the pendant was deemed worthy of being the focal of the design. I added some of my enamel discs onto the top of the pendant and wired it up into a scroll work design for an added touch. Each of the stone beads were wire wrapped with the steel wire to make a necklace. Finally, the ribbon matched the colors so closely that I decided to add it as the finishing touch for the necklace.
And I got a little matchy matchy and wired up some earrings using the stone beads to complete the entire design.

That my friends is my creation for Bead Soup 2013. Please visit Jessica's blog to see the collection that I sent her. I'm so excited to see what she creates with the goodies. In the mean time, Jessica has a great store on Etsy or visit her website at  www.cellardoorjewelry.com
